Terms and Conditions

All rates are quoted in South African Rand. All rates are per person sharing rates and inclusive of 15% VAT.

  • Single supplement of 50% applicable.
  • All rates exclude additional beverages (other than welcome drinks, safari beverages and breakfast coffee service) except for the 5-star Ambassador units. Please note: any drinks other than provided in the mini bar are at an additional charge.
  • All overnight bookings require a 50% deposit on confirmation. Day trip bookings require full payment.
  • Children 0-3 years are free. Children 4-11 years are at half price.
  • No children under 4 years are allowed on safari or a private safari can be booked (at additional cost) to allow for children under 4. This safari will exclude the predator reserve.
  • Babysitting facilities on request @ R75/hour.
  • Private safaris are available at an additional cost of R 1000 per person per safari and should be pre-booked.
  • No lunch will be served after 14:00.
  • Cheetah educational tour are offered at R850 per person and must be booked in advance and are only overnight guests. Please note that this tour is included in the 5-star Ambassador accommodation stay.
  • Cheetah educational tours are subject to favourable conditions.

Standard Cancellation Policy

Please note that all cancellations are only effective once confirmed in writing.

Guests making travel and booking arrangements with the Aquila Collection must have their own personal or business travel insurance to support any cancellation or curtailment of their booking.

In the event that the accommodation is not taken up, AQUILA COLLECTION will have the right to deem the amounts due in lieu of the cancellation penalties and, in addition, have the right to release reservations where deposit and / or payment is not made on the due date.

AQUILA COLLECTION reserves the right to amend deposit requirements during peak periods.

  • No Shows: 100% of full amount payable
  • Cancellations within 0 – 7 days of date of arrival: 100% payable
  • Cancellations within 8 – 21 days of date of arrival: 50% of full amount payable
  • Cancellations within 22 – 30 days of date of arrival: 30% of full amount payable
  • No refunds for late check-in / arrival or early check-out.
  • No refunds for services not used.
  • Please note that all refunds are subject to commission and/or bank charges
  • Group bookings: a non-refundable deposit may be requested and a specially negotiated cancellation policy will apply to any bookings which exceeds 25% of our capacity.

Special Covid19 Updates

  • Confirmed bookings made before 24 March 2020 for arrival until 30 November 2020, can apply for a deferment with no penalties. This allows for a date change for any future date 14 months from the original date of arrival.
  • New bookings that need to be postponed or cancelled due to COVID19 infections or restrictions, can cancel 48 hours before arrival with no penalty. In these instances, official corresponding documentation must be presented. This is only applicable to FIT travel and exclude group or series bookings:
    • The guest has contracted COVID-19 and is under treatment or is in quarantine or receiving medical treatment up to 48 hours prior to arrival.
      AQUILA COLLECTION reserves the right to ask for any reasonable evidence, written statements and or documents to support the reasons for cancellation that are given.
    • Should a guest not be allowed access at AQUILA COLLECTION due to pre-screening results, the specific guest booking will be cancelled with no penalty.
