Expertly guided by our skilled Rangers, Inverdoorn’s horse trails offer an immersive opportunity to connect with nature and explore the Western Cape’s wild and remote landscapes. And, in the midst of the vast and stunning Tankwa Karoo, you’ll feel like an early explorer discovering the natural beauty of Inverdoorn’s 10 000 hectare reserve.
Karoo Horseback Trails
Ranger Dan will be guiding the Summer Horseback Trails at Inverdoorn.
Sunrise Ride at 06h00: Ride out into the awakening wilderness as the sun paints the sky with hues of gold. Priced at R650 per person for a 1-hour adventure, this ride is perfect for early risers seeking a magical start to their day.
Brunch Ride at 10h30: This delightful mid-morning ride, priced at R650 per person for 1 hour, offers a unique twist to your traditional brunch plans, allowing you to venture into the heart of the reserve after breakfast.
Sunset Ride at 18h00: Witness the breathtaking transition from day to night with our Sunset Trail. Priced at R650 per person for 1 hour, this experience promises to be a visual feast for those looking for a unique vantage, from horseback, to watch the famous Karoo Sunsets.
Full Moon Midnight Trail: Inverdoorn’s Full Moon Midnight Trail is available at R1000 per person for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Under the starry Karoo skies and faint glow of the moon, this midnight horseback trail adds an intimate and surreal experience to your safari.
Please Note:
All Horseback Activities and Karoo Horse Trails follow a strict one person per horse policy, with no exceptions. A minimum age requirement of 16 years of age, and a maximum weight restriction of 95kgs per person, is applied to all horse trail tours and activities at Inverdoorn Private Game Reserve.
Horse Trails and Picnic Trails
Enjoy a longer and more in-depth exploration of the reserve with our 2-hour Horse Trails and Karoo Picnic adventure, priced at R950 per person. For those desiring a more intimate experience, the Private Picnic Trail is available at an additional cost of R330 per person (excluding beverages). To ensure availability, please make and confirm your reservation at least one week in advance, prior to your safari check-in.
